Jason became a beloved artist and beacon of light by being a prolific painter and community leader in Johnson city (TN) and the surrounding Appalachian highlands area.
Jason started painting after what he refers to as “the big three” events: homelessness for a time, his twin sister (Jessica) suddenly passed away, and a close friend got into some major trouble. That friend’s mother gave him an old paint set… and it has been on ever since!
Popping into the local scene, he discovered the disconnect between the academic-art world and the self-taught, street artists. He also noticed local organizations and committees were not looking for local art talent. THAT HAD TO CHANGE! And it did!
